Being an ANZA member allows you to enjoy a range of social, recreational, community and sporting opportunities. It enables you and your family to ‘join your mates’ and be part of the ANZA Community whilst away from your home country.
Membership is inexpensive, great value for money and is easy to do – you can join online today in a few short, simple steps.
Who can join ANZA?
Everyone is welcome! Membership is open to all nationalities, not just Australians and New Zealanders. There are two classes of membership:
- Ordinary Membership
Ordinary membership is open to all Australian and New Zealand passport holders residing permanently or temporarily in Singapore. Ordinary members have full voting rights at all Special, Annual or other meetings of the Association and may hold any elected position on the ANZA Executive Committee. Only one member of your family needs to be an Australian or New Zealand passport holder in order to qualify for Ordinary Membership. Partners and dependents are automatically made members in the same category.
- Associate Membership
Associate Membership is available to all non Australian or non New Zealand passport holders residing permanently or temporarily in Singapore. The only difference to Ordinary Membership is that Associate members do not have voting rights at any Association meetings nor can they hold any elected position on the ANZA Executive Committee. There is no price difference between the membership categories.
How much is ANZA membership?
The annual membership fee is $130 per family. A half year membership rate of $80 is available for current members only. Membership must be paid for in full at the start of the membership period.
How can I pay for membership?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and bank transfers for online payments. Payment by cash or cheque can be made at the ANZA office – we are open Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm. Unfortunately we do not accept NETS or AMEX.
Who does one ANZA membership cover?
One ANZA membership covers your whole family (2 adults and up to 4 children.) You do not need one membership per person. The membership fee covers you if you are in Singapore by yourself, with a partner or spouse, or with your children.
How long is ANZA membership for?
You can join for 1 year. Any subsequent renewals can be for 6 months or 1 year. Membership starts from the day you join and is based on anniversary renewal e.g. you join on 4th April 2010 and your year membership expires on 3rd April 2011. To make it easy, ANZA will send you a renewal reminder when your membership is near expiry and you can renew online.
Please note that ANZA is unable to refund your membership if you leave Singapore before your membership expires.
What happens if I move within Singapore?
No problems – simply update your new contact details online and we will send your monthly ANZA magazine to your new address!
