During this walking tour of the Chinatown area our guide, Geraldene, will explain about the Mooncake Legends, about the moon fairy, lanterns and Mooncakes. We will hear the history of the streets and the trades plied here in days gone by and note the restored terrace houses. We will walk via Pagoda St and Trengganu St and visit the Chinatown Street Market to see different fruits and vegetables. After stopping for drinks we will see a calligrapher, a wood carver, street barber, and visit a Clan Association, after which we will head to Far East Square to visit the Mooncake Bakery there. Our tour finishes here at Far East Square, which is a nice place to have lunch and not too far to walk to catch the MRT from Raffles station.
