WHAT?

ANZA Soccer is multi-dimensional in its format in order to meet the requirements of players at every age and skill level.

CLUB LEVEL: Our traditional Saturday Morning League, with 14 match days, 5 tournament days, numerous “friendly” non-league matches and 17 training sessions. Our Club Level Program includes the U4 thru U14 age divisions.

COMPETITION LEVEL/SELECT TEAMS: Any player desiring an additional playing date on Sunday can join the Competition Level of ANZA F.C. These teams will also play in the ANZA Soccer International Cup Tournament held in May. Selected players will play in the annual Southeast Asia Cup Tournament or the FAS COE Challenge Cup. Teams will be determined by trials and will be evaluated by senior coaches with Asia Football Confederation (or equivalent) certification. Typically there are 1-2 Competition Teams in each of the U6 thru U14 age groups, plus our ANZA FC Teams for U15, U16 and U18 players. Trials will be held in August.

ANZA FUTSAL: Any player desiring to join ANZA Futsal with the additional playing date on Tuesday evening (5-7 PM) can join the Futsal program, of ANZA F.C.  The ANZA Futsal program will be recreational oriented and will play at The Premier Pitch at Turf City.  More information will be available at www.ANZAsoccer.com.

After registering an email will be sent with instructions on how to join the futsal program.  Places are extremely limited and operate on a first-in basis.  Contact the ANZA Office if you do not receive an email within 24 hours of registering.

Futsal is offered to the following age-groups – U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U14, U15/U16, and U17/U18.

All Competition/Select Team applicants and all Futsal applicants MUST play in the Club Level league on Saturdays. Under no circumstances will players be granted a waiver of this rule.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

A SPECIAL NOTE

TEAM PLACEMENT REQUESTS – Requests to be placed on a certain team, with certain friends, with a particular coach or any other requests for placement will be noted. ANZA Soccer will consider accommodating the request, but cannot guarantee fulfillment as primary consideration is given to the principles of ANZA Soccer, such as team or league balance. In all cases, no requests for team placement will be entertained from the first formation day, 27 August, onwards. For the same reason, while ANZA Soccer wishes to keep friends and teams from the prior year together, this might not always be possible. The league reserves the right to move players, at any time it is deemed necessary, to maintain the principles of team balance within ANZA Soccer.

AGE GROUP PLACEMENT REQUESTS
– ANZA Soccer will allow girls to play down an Age Group, if they so desire. Boys will play at Club Level within their age group. Exceptions are made ONLY on a “grandfathering” basis, i.e. boys who have played the 2010-2011 season in a particular Age Group will be deemed to stay with that Age Group until such time that they request to move to their official age group. As of season 2011-2012, all newly registering players (i.e. players who were not registered in the 2010-2011 season) will be placed into their official age group without exception.

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone wishing to register for ANZA Soccer must be a current (paid up) ANZA member and maintain this status for the entire season.

For further information, please contact the ANZA office on 6438 4373 or info@anza.org.sg.
